Mild reactions go away within a few days on their own. Apprehensions stemming from the AEFI have been identified as a primary cause for drop-outs in children. Paracetamol, an analgesic and antipyretic drug, is the preferred medication for treating fever and pain following immunization. This brief highlights the efforts by the Government of Uttar Pradesh in enhancing the availability, adequacy and utilization of Syrup Paracetamol in Uttar Pradesh, with support from UP TSU.
