India Health Action Trust was instituted in 2003 as a Charitable Trust with a vision to meaningfully impact the lives of vulnerable and marginalised people by addressing health and social inequities. The Trust is working towards reducing inequities by developing comprehensive and sustainable programmes to improve population health. Since its inception, IHAT has been working closely with the Government of India and state governments, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Rajasthan, Delhi and Maharashtra to achieve public health goals. Our work is focused in areas of prevention and control of HIV and Tuberculosis, in achieving significant improvements in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, improved Nutrition among mothers and children, and strengthening health systems. We use program science to optimise and scale public health programs while partnering with the governments and communities.

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) is providing Technical support to the UP State TB programme in the area of Diagnostic Network Optimization, Integration of TB in Primary Health Care, Private Sector Engagement and also in the Multisector Engagement. IHAT has received a research grant from Azim Premji Foundation (APF) to conduct a qualitative study titled “The Intersection of Tuberculosis, Menstrual Health, and Mental Well-being Among Adolescent Girls in Selected District of Uttar Pradesh””. To support the implementation of this study, IHAT is recruiting two Field Investigators who will be based in in the study district. These Field Investigators will be the bridge between the study and the respondents.
To conduct high-quality qualitative data collection through interviews, focus group discussions (FGDs), observations, and documentation while ensuring ethical engagement with adolescent participants and maintaining data quality standards. The Field Investigator will support implementation of field activities under the direct supervision of the Research Associate and will be primarily responsible for participant recruitment, qualitative data collection, documentation, and field-level coordination.
Graduate degree in Social Work, Public Health, Anthropology, Sociology, or related fields.
