About IHAT:

India Health Action Trust was instituted in 2003 as a Charitable Trust with a vision to meaningfully impact the lives of vulnerable and marginalized people by addressing health and social inequities. The Trust is working towards reducing inequities by developing comprehensive and sustainable programs to improve population health. Since its inception, IHAT has working closely with the Government of India and state governments, including Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi and Bihar to achieve public health goals. Our work is focused in areas of prevention and control of HIV and Tuberculosis, in achieving significant improvements in Reproductive, Maternal, Neonatal and Child Health, improved Nutrition among mothers and children, and strengthening health systems. We use program science to optimize and scale public health programs while partnering with the governments and communities.

About Program:

The Uttar Pradesh Technical Support Unit (UPTSU) provides integrated Technical Assistance (TA) to the government of Uttar Pradesh (GoUP), which focuses on accelerating progress in reproductive, maternal, new-born and child health, and nutrition (RMNCHN). UPTSU works closely with the GoUP at the state, district and local levels to optimize RMNCHN programs and services. The technical assistance provided by UPTSU is integrated within the GoUP’s health system response for scale-up and sustainability. UPTSU focuses on interventions to improve outcomes in Family Planning, Maternal and New-born Health, and Nutrition, along with Routine Immunization, Digital Health, and other initiatives.

Job Summary :

The Associate-SBCC will support the development, rollout, and monitoring of digital IEC and SBC interventions to promote positive health behaviors among women, adolescents, and families. The position will ensure that scientifically accurate, culturally relevant, and engaging digital content is produced and disseminated through appropriate platforms. The Associate- SBCC will execute demo and experimental digital campaigning and implementation of digital SBC activities. The Associate will also analysis digital activities & prepare analytical reports.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Development of high-quality IEC and BCC materials for various target audience on health program domains for various target audiences/channels
  • Execute SBC campaigns across various digital touchpoints, including WhatsApp-based platforms, IVR systems, and social media platforms, ensuring a seamless experience for the end-user.
  • Use digital analytics and feedback loops to monitor campaign performance, utilizing user engagement data to refine messaging and delivery schedules.
  • Support the development of Digital Direct-to-Client (D2C) messaging flows that empower frontline workers and beneficiaries with real-time health information.
  • Ensure messaging aligns with GoI guidelines, NHM communication strategies, and state IEC frameworks.
  • Development of digital SBCC plan with focus on branding and innovative and creative approach for maternal and reproductive health and FP.
  • Analyze the digital SBC activities and prepare analytical reports for further use of data for mid-course corrections.

Work Experience:

Essential experience

  • 3-5 years’ experience in designing and implementing of digital SBC Communication campaigning/activities in the development sector
  • Experience in running Digital media activities
  • Experience in qualitative data analysis, report writing, and documentation
  • Excellent writing and editing skills (Hindi and English preferred)
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and digital engagement
  • Understanding of data and analytics for campaign optimization
  • Ability to work in multi-stakeholder, fast-paced environments

Preferred experience

  • Experience of working in maternal and reproductive health domain will be preferred
Education:

Required Qualification

  • Master’s/P.G Diploma in Social Sciences/ Mass communication/Digital Media or equivalent qualification.
