About IHAT

India Health Action Trust – IHAT is a registered secular trust founded in the year 2003 working in the states of Karnataka, Rajasthan and undertaking short term projects in other regions of the country. Started in partnership with the University of Manitoba, Canada, IHAT is dedicated to health seeking behaviour among vulnerable communities, supporting programs in the area of health, particularly reproductive health and promoting research activities on field. IHAT also provides technical support to the State AIDS Control Societies (SACS) for capacity building and scaling up of programmes which includes providing technical assistance for planning, preparation, implementation and management of the National AIDS Control Programme.

India Health Action Trust (IHAT) was established primarily to support public health initiatives in India. IHAT has partnered with with other institutions such as University of Manitoba, Karnataka Health Promotion Trust, State Institute of Health and Family Welfare (SIHFW), Rajasthan, 'Bal Raksha, Save the Children', Bharat, Rajasthan and UNICEF.
