Mr. Senthil K. Murugan

A social scientist with extensive experience with the UN and other funding and implementing agencies, Senthil Murugan leads IHAT’s learning and sharing initiatives, including KSAPS’ Technical Support Unit (TSU) and also serves as a Director, Strategic Initiatives and Knowledge Translation, Centre for Global Public Health, University of Manitoba, Canada. Mr Murugan has developed national policies and strategies for high-risk groups, studies on the socio-economic condition of female sex workers (FSWs) and their children, and managed HIV prevention programmes in Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. His vast experience includes working with grassroots communities, particularly those most at risk of acquiring and transmitting HIV. Mr Murugan holds a Master’s degree in Social Work from the Madras School of Social Work, Madras University
