IHAT gives opportunities to individuals who would like to intern for a short (2 weeks to 1 month) or long duration (1 month up to 6 months) within its ongoing projects. IHAT defines Internship as “a form of experiential learning that integrates knowledge and theory learned in the classroom with practical application and skills development in a professional setting.” Internships give students the opportunity to gain valuable applied experience and make connections in professional fields they are considering for career paths; and give employers the opportunity to guide and evaluate talent.
During the internship tenure, every intern gets an opportunity to explore, understand and contribute to the different thematic areas of work of the organisation. Program implementation, capacity building, research and special studies, documentation, community engagement and networking are some of the learning areas that IHAT offers during the tenure.
